The weather [?]this week has been bitter in the extreme even the building has ben cold & the washroom has sum praying hard. Huge rocks of ice in the troughs & all the taps got to be kept running to prevent a general burst it took a certain amount of moral courage to sponge my chest in the mornings but I haven't missed it yet & I truly think it is splendid for me. We were kept inside on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday & we just given lectures, physical [??] drill & [?] signalling
