Dear Miss Munro

I have just received your welcome parcel with letter enclosed. You will notice it has taken some considerable time to reach me, but that is owing to the fact, that I have been moved to several different places lately and my mail has of course been delayed in consequence. However the parcel was undamaged and the cakes and candy in excellent condition. Its really too kind of you to think of me especially under the circumstances I entirely appreciate your feelings and how difficult it is for you to become resigned to all that has happened.

Its so easy for those who are left to say these things were mean't. I know how hard it is to reconcile oneself to the loss of a chum, how much harder the loss of someone dearer. You must try to be strong however, for the sake of your health and those belonging to you.

Thanks so much for your kind wishes. You will be pleased to hear that I have entirely recovered from my wounds and am practically as fit as ever.

I am on duty in London and billetted with friends, so at present am having a fairly good time.

It will be four or five months I'm afraid before I return to Canada. Still we can't all get back first can we? and after all I have no one in Canada to worry about me, all my relations being over here. I am English you know. I have a great affection for Canada however and will welcome the time when I see her again.

Thanks awfully for your kind invitation and I can assume you that if I ever have the opportunity of being near Stratford I shall find great pleasure in availing myself of it

Wishing you every success in your work and trusting to hear from you in the near future

Believe me to remain
Sincerely Yours
E. Reynolds
